LEADING phone manufacturer, Nokia in partnership with leading telecommunications service provider, Airtel Nigeria have embarked on a special consumer promotion for the new Nokia Lumia range of products now in Nigeria. The promotion which will kick-off on the 22nd of October 2012 will deliver exciting benefits to consumers who purchase the Lumia 900, 710 & 610 over the period.

Mr Emeka Ezeh, Director General of the Bureau for Public Procurement (BPP) has intensified efforts to eliminate interference in public procurement process in the country.  During the presentation of national database registration for contractors, consultants and service providers at the Federal Ministry of Works, the DG said that the focus of the drive is to ensure transparent and corrupt free procurement process in the country and provide level playing ground that will allow for holistic participation from different categories of Nigerians to do government business without knowing anybody in the system.

The two-day intensive training, which held at Co-Creation Hub on the 20th and 21st of September focused on utilizing the latest developer tools for 40 key developers to encourage them to develop applications for the new Nokia Asha Full Touch devices.

Mr. Tony Torp, a senior lecturer of software engineering at Tampere University of Applied Sciences, Finland conducted the theoretical and hands on training, which focused on developing the participants' skills and current applications.
