How to know when your tyres need replacement

1: Too Much Vibration
There can be any of a number of causes for the vibration -- maybe your tyre is mis-aligned or unbalanced, or your shock absorbers are starting to go.

2: Bulges and Blisters on the Tyre
This weak spot can cause a sudden blow out, and if you don't take the car toservice center before this happens, it may end up putting you in the hospital when the tyre blows out on the freeway. So keep your eye on those tyres bulges and blisters.

3: Cracks in the Sidewall
If the cracks in the sidewall are starting to look serious, get that car to a repair shop at the next opportunity and start talking about getting them replaced.

4: The Tread Wear Indicator Bar
They appear as flat rubber bars running perpendicular to the direction of the tread itself. If more than one or two of these are visible on a tyre, the tread is getting low.

5: Tread Depth
The tread on your tyres should never fall below 1/16 of an inch (1.6 millimeters) in depth. If you regularly drive on slick, you can buy a gauge to measure the tread depth the way the professional's do to determine the tread depth.

DAIMLER AG collaboration with Mercedes Benz is yielding fruits as the company banks on the new CLA premium model to become the world's largest luxury automaker.
Fulfilling its own part, Mercedes Benz is expected to begin the deliveries of the CLA which look quite similar to the evergreen 190 Benz series introduced in 1982, which helped the automaker attract wealthier buyers.
The CLA was designed to increase the automaker's appeal in other markets, especially Europe though critics doubt if the company will succeed with its plan, as the CLA is based on the same compact-car underpinnings used for the A and B-Class hatchbacks, which until now failed to get Mercedes the desired crown.
Mercedes lost the crown to BMW in 2005 and the gap has widened as the A-Class failed to offset declines in China last year. During the first quarter, Mercedes' sales increased 3.5% to 324,898 units, while Audi increased 6.8% and BMW 7%.
According to a top official of the Company, Daimler is expected later this month to announce the updated 2013 target, as the beginning of the year was quite disappointing, especially in Europe.

Why was the old road traffic law repealed?
The repealed road Traffic law was first enacted on January 1, 1949, a period of 18 years before the State of Lagos was created. The population of Lagos at that time was less than 300,000. Since its enactment, the law had been amended about 7 times. Nevertheless, it did not properly reflect current practices in our society. Further amendments would have made the law even more difficult to follow, hence the decision to do a total review.
