LOW performance by out-going chairmen of Local Governments in Lagos State was reflected in the non-chalant attitude and apathy of eligible voters in last Saturday’s polling .

Accusing fingers were pointed at the outgoing chairmen, who are all members of the ruling Action Congress of Nigeria( ACN), in the state.

There are 20 local governments and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs).

Like in most of the local governments and LCDAs, the grievances of the electorates, most of whom shunned polling stations, during the election, were most vocal in Bariga, Orile Agege and Agbado/Oke-Odo LCDA’s.
