THE efforts by the National Universities Commission (NUC) to sanitise tertiary institutions yielded positive result, following the arrest of Mr. Francis John Agbo, the proprietor of illegal Middle Belt University and North Central University.

Agbo  who also posed as the Director of Research and Innovation of the Commission, was convicted on a two-count charge of impersonation and forgery and sentenced to five and a half years in prison without an option of fine by Honourable Ali Tari Changbo of the Upper Area Court, Keffi, Nasarawa State.

DAVID Akanji an educator with recent doctorate degree in Special Education from Gallaudet University is a man who does not believe that his sight impairment is an excuse for him not to reach the heights.  In fact he is a better cook than some sighted men.  In this interview  DC he shared his life experience.
