The Chairman of Nigeria Academicals Sports Committee (NASCOM), Mr. Yemi Idowu believes the only team that can stop the Golden Eaglets from winning the 2013 UAE FIFA Under-17 World Cup are the players themselves! Speaking to the players at their Danat Resort Hotel before  the 6-1 victory over  Mexico on Saturday, Idowu who is the proprietor of Nathaniel  Boys FC of Lagos, said the players should give their best since they are  the ' Special Ones' picked  amongst  millions  of Nigerian youths to represent the country.

...after 3-3 draw against Sweden

Coach Garba Manu has given the Golden Eaglets above average mark after they salvaged a 3-3 draw against a 'stubborn, tactical Swedish side' on Tuesday at the Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain.

President of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Aminu Maigari has said here that the Golden Eaglets need more encouragement and support of Nigerians to fulfil the aspiration of winning a fourth FIFA Under-17  World Cup  for Nigeria.

As its customary from where ever they have gone, the Golden Eaglets once again rounded off their First Round schedule in the modest city of Al Ain on a positive note with a special thank you message to the fans despite a 3-3 draw against Sweden.

Golden Eaglets Head Coach, Manu Garba is hopeful about the chances of Success Isaac still playing a part at the on-going FIFA Under-17 World Cup in the UAE, even as the medical crew sweats on the fitness of the striker.
