2013 will be a year of significant boom for the Nigerian music industry. This is the view of Chief Tony Okoroji, Chairman, Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON), the nation's sole government approved collective management organization for musical works and sound recordings.

Chief Okoroji says that his conclusion is a result of profound analysis of events and trends in recent times.

In his New Year message to the music industry, Chief Okoroji said, 'In 2013, Nigerian music will be a major force around the world.

The melody and rhythm of Nigerian artistes will be celebrated in every continent on earth. This past year, practically every major player in world music showed interest to invest in the Nigerian music industry. I have had the opportunity to speak with some of these organizations.

TRIPLE J. What went wrong? 
Yes. The Triple J, they are not with me anymore, because I was traveling a lot, and they are in America presently. So anything I can still do in terms of consulting for them, I do. I realize my career was taking a turn, it was like two years ago I was traveling a lot and they were also traveling too, It was a hobby for them, but for me I am trying to look for something great that I can do, I love them like sisters so the relationship still continues beyond managing, and they have a good management now. But am actually looking for someone, I’m trying to raise disciples because am a Christian, and that's my calling.

I am Kehinde Olumide Akinbode, also known as Kenny K'ore.  K'ore is from the yoruba word Kuorire, which means Congratulations. I chose to call myself ‘ Congratulations’ because I believe what we answer to is what eventually shapes our destiny. I am from Abeokuta, Ogun state. I am a Gospel Musician.My parents loved music so much that by share condition of that, I and my siblings grew up with music all around us. We had music playing in the morning before we leave for school, music in the afternoon on radio and TV, music at church in the evenings and Sundays.

IT was suspenseful, spellbound and simply electrifying at the LASGIDI International Dance Festival held recently at the Freedom Park at Onikan, Lagos State where contemporary dances from several dance companies around the world converged to showcase their different dances and cultures.

The festival, which is in its 11th year, exhibits unique contemporary dances while bringing together experiences from other African countries in a global stage to share their dance through stage performance.

Since the festival started as Dance Meets Dance at the French Cultural Centre in Lagos in 2001, it has grown stronger with the joint partnership of the Alliance Francaise, Goethe Institut and the French Institution in Abuja.

With the yuletide season around, one of Nigeria music promoter, Benez music is set to embark on a street carnival in Benin, Edo state. The Benez Music Street Carnival 2012 will parades notable Nigerian music stars like 2face Idibia, Terry G among several others and it going to be free.

The street carnival 2012 will also showcase other talents on Benez music label, the likes of Fuse ODG, Punicha, and Manfesto. The event is scheduled to hold across four (4) local government areas: Oredo, Ikpoba-Okha, Egor and Ovia South-East. The itinerary is as follows: December 24: G.R.A., Benin City, December 26 (Boxing Day): Sapele Road, December 28: Evbuotubu, December 30: Ramat Park,December 31: (Bukka X), Siluko Road,  Igue Night (The Bini Annual Festival), and on February 14, 2013: Oluku (Between UNIBEN & COLBEN).
