AS tributes keeps pouring in torrentially since Ambassador Olusegun Olusola, founder of African Refugees Foundation (AREF), passed on last week, National Daily can authoritatively reveal that the late cultural icon and elderstateman had high hopes of living up to 80 years.  He died at the age of 77 years.
In an interview he granted National Daily in October last year, he mentioned that he may live another 5 years if he is lucky.

Upcoming   talented Nigerian artist Wray is currently out with a sizzling new single titled ‘Be Your Man’, produced by   Teebeo.  

The artist who started in 2006 with his former group called MVP family consisting of Topaz, Don Montero, and Maori, went solo 2008 and signed a recording contract with I LIKE IT RECORDS UK which lasted till 2010.

Wray official launched his record label, ‘WRAY MUSIC’ that same year.

WRAY plays various musical instruments which he implements in his music giving his music and distinct and unique feel.

A multi talented artist, who grew up in the south side of Nigeria, he is regarded as the true son of the soil after a duet he did representing the ancient city of Benin. WRAY is currently in UK working on his first album titled THE INTRODUCTION due out soon, featuring the likes of the King D, Rocksteady, Mista Dry GIN and 2kriss.

 

On the 21st of December 2011, Art Lovers and beyond will congregate at the Civic Center in V.I Lagos as part of the activities leading to the July 2012 Launch of the 1st solely Modern Arts University in Nigeria ? The Modern Day School of Arts.

The Modern Day School of the Arts (MDSA) - is a training institution that is set on advancing literacy in the community, promoting quality education and encouraging the creative performance of individuals. The goal is to grow into becoming Nigerians foremost institution for education of the arts.

 

Just as Nigerians, Africans and the world is mourning the passing on of the late Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu who was buried recently, renowned novelist par excellence and the father of African literature, Prof. Chinua Achebe will be releasing his latest book, There was a Country, which is his personal history of Biafra in September 2012.

The book which  will be released on September 6th this year.

Described as the long awaited memoir about coming of age with a fragile new nation, then watching it torn asunder in a tragic war, Achebe weaves history and memoir, poetry and prose and gives a vivid firsthand observation and forty years of research in the book.
